| QUESTION: What does it mean to erase an online session? |
|
Erasing an online session means to cover all tracks of the most recent browsing history. Cookies, browsing history and other files reflecting the Internet surfer's browsing activity are stored in the local computer's memory cache and file system and can be reviewed by any user of the machine. If the user chooses to erase a session, cookies, cache and browsing history are deleted from his/her computer. *Note that if using Internet Explorer, in order to erase the session's browsing history all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows will be shut down when the session is terminated. As well, because America Online utilizes the Internet Explorer browser, erasing an online AOL session will shut down the AOL and all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows upon StealthRay session termination.
